Ahead of her EPW debut at Going for Broke this Saturday, it feels like Casey Johns has not had a proper introduction. What is there to know about this South Australian wrestler before she locks up with Edith Night?
First and foremost, she is tough in between the ropes. She is a former Riot City Wrestling Women’s Champion, holding the championship for 10 months from late 2017 until mid-2018. She won the gold in a 4 way against Izzy Shaw, Eliza Sway and, a name that EPW fans will be very familiar with, Amity Row.
During her run as champion, Johns had several successful defences against former champion Eliza Sway, Josie and Venus. Her title reign came to an end when she was defeated by current NXT star Indi Hartwell. Speaking of NXT, Johns has also stepped into the ring not once but twice against current NXT Champion Rhea Ripley, who was the RCW Women’s champion before Johns became champion.
Edith Night has performed in EPW, but Saturday March 7th is also her Gate One debut, so will the nerves get the better of either woman? Johns has big match experience against some of the greatest in the industry today, but Night has wrestled front of the EPW faithful before. Who will have a winning debut at Going for Broke?
Come along to the Claremont Showgrounds this Saturday evening to find out the answer.
